October 18 Michael and I headed to Wilmington, North Carolina for the Beach 2 Battleship Half Ironman. Mary Beth, Kevin and kids got to come early too. Friday we went to the packet pickup then toured the Battleship North Carolina. It was Awesome!

There were definitely some challenges maneuvering around to see Michael in this event but overall it was a fun weekend. We stayed on Wrightsville Beach in the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort so, of course, I was happy just being on the beach. No matter that it was too cold - just the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea makes me happy!
