Thursday night, July 5, Christi, Big Daddy and I traveled up to Virginia to help Joe and Chelsea build a deck at their home. We got to our hotel room as the clock struck midnight. We got up at 5:45 Friday morning to begin our 15 hour day. We worked our tails off then turned around and worked another 16 hours on Saturday. The end result is amazing! But we were three tired puppies! We got home Sunday afternoon about 5:30 with just enough time to take a well deserved nap before going to bed!
Joe had the posts set and the fence that the deck would be built against already up before we got there. Good work Joe!
This deck is going to be huge!
I promise I didn't do this for very long! It was extremely hot and Big Daddy had to do some figuring so I took advantage of a free minute to "chill". Yeah, right! There was NO chillin' that day!
All I can say is WOW!!
Saturday night we were treated to steaks grilled on the new deck! Yum!! Thanks, Chelsea and Jill for cooking such a great supper for us!
I'm sure Joe and Chelsea agree that this was a major undertaking that took many wonderful hands to fulfill. Thanks to Becca, Craig, Jill (for babysitting Maggie, and Maureen (Christi's mother in law for babysitting Owen and Emma so that Christi could come work).
