Disney Live!

Last night I took Hagin, Olivia, Jackson and Owen, along with Christi and Mary Beth, to see Disney Live at the Colonial Center. We sure had a fun time!
Waiting for the show to begin

Owen was really into the music. He was either kicking his legs or jumping up and down the entire show.

Olivia was a lucky girl! She got invited to go up on stage and dance the "Hot Dog" song with some of the cast members! (I have a video but I can't quite figure out how to post it yet!?!?)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine weekend we were in Myrtle Beach for the marathon and then last week I was in Myrtle Beach with the girlfriends, so we are a little behind on our celebrations. This past Sunday night the family got together to celebrate Mary Beth's birthday and Valentine's Day.
Me and my little babies, Owen and Maizeigh

We actually had Mary Beth open her birthday presents first, then opened our Valentine treats. My pictures are just backwards. (Imagine me getting something backwards! Ha!)

Carolina Girls - The BEST in the World!

Every year I look forward to my annual girlfriend trip. We went to Myrtle Beach and stayed in an oceanfront condo. Not as flossie as years past but it had all the essentials. This year it was me, Libbi, Lauralan, Brenda and Lynn. We had a blast! In fact, we had such a good time that we decided to have another (much shorter) trip in October!

We absolutely could not stay in this condo for 4 days and look at a "necked" woman, even if she was made of papier-mache'

We finally decided a roll of paper towels would do the trick

Oh, my goodness, did we ever have a good time at Rioz! This was a fantastic Brazilian Restaurant. The salad bar was crazy! Then you had a coaster beside your plate that was red on one side and green on the other. If you wanted more meat (12 different varieties) brought to your table by very handsome waiters you turned your coaster to green! Pretty cool, huh? But then there was dessert - oh, yeah, baby! Key lime pie, turtle cheesecake and a chocolate cake that was to die for!

Shopping was certainly an adventure. But the best thing was when we got tired, we went to the mall and got foot and hand massages! Now that was heavenly!

This was just one days worth! Crazy, I know!

Friday night Libbi's brother Floyd and his wife Laurel took us out to dinner at Landry's Seafood House at Broadway at the Beach. The food was fabulous but the company was outstanding!!! What fun! Here's a hint: Never, never put your raunchy eggs in the piano bench! Once again the desserts were the highlight - Bananas Foster!

Have you ever played "Where's Waldo"? How about "Where's Brenda"? It's a good thing she is so tiny because we really were running out of space. I had a great seat on the way home. All the packages didn't bother me a bit! That's the only good thing about driving!!
I CAN HARDLY WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!!

WE'RE GOING TO BOSTON!

WOO, HOO!!! MICHAEL QUALIFIED TO RUN IN THE BOSTON MARATHON!!

We had a very exciting weekend in Myrtle Beach. Mary Beth had signed up to run the 5K on Friday night and Michael the marathon on Saturday morning. Friday we just sort of took it easy waiting for Mary Beth's race to start. Jackson and Maizeigh loved swimming in the indoor pool!

Then it was time for the race. Mary Beth did an awesome job! We are so proud of her! ( She looked really cute too!) She is always so willing to cheer for all of us no matter what we are doing. It was so much fun to cheer for HER for a change!!

Saturday morning arrived - EARLY!! Up at 5:15am, the marathon started at 6:30am

Michael ran a fabulous race! Qualifying for Boston is an amazing accomplishment! He was so nervous. I guess it didn't help that I told him the only thing I wanted for Valentine's day was for him to qualify! I think it made him run faster though!!

After the marathon and some rest, we went to celebrate Valentine's day at Medieval Times! What fun! It was so much fun to watch Jackson be so excited!

CONGRATULATIONS MICHAEL!
YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION!
I LOVE YOU!

GIRLFRIENDS

This time next week I will be on my annual girlfriend trip. I can hardly wait! We just take several days away to talk, shop, talk, eat, talk, -- you get the picture!! These women are the best life can offer. We are all so different yet so alike. Our love for the gospel and each other binds us together. What wonderful friends they are!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY BETH!

Today's your birthday shout hooray!!
Mary Elizabeth Whetstone (Carlisle) was born February 10, 1983 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing in at 7 lbs 3 ozs.
She was our little "Smurf" baby because she was completely blue! The wonderful doctors and nurses quickly solved that problem. I think she was just trying to catch her breath so that she could continue talking no-stop the rest of her life!!
Bathing beauty!

Look at that cheesy grin

Beth.jpg" border=0> What pretty blonde hair!

This was her primary class the day she was baptised. (Hey, Jessica!)

Oh, the things she could talk her brothers into doing for her!
(Aladdin was a big hit at the time!)

Mary Beth loved to cheer and still does!

A crown and friends - what more could you ask for???

Humm, this major didn't last too long - but she is a great cook today!

Then she got married and has a wonderful husband and 2 fabulous children
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!
You'll always be our "Miss Sunshine"
