Tri the Midlands 2012

Today was Tri the Midlands at Lake Carolina.  Christi and Mary Beth participated.  Big Daddy was upset that he couldn't go "coach" but he had a church commitment.  The girls were awesome as usual!  I loved being their cheerleader! 

It was SO sweet for Libbi and LaNelle to get up at the crack of dawn to come support the girls!  They were fabulous at cheering!  We need to recruit them!

I told Big Daddy that this is a picture of his Christmas present this year.  Notice the license plate.....there was also a tri bike crammed in the back!  He got pretty excited!  Too bad I had to say "Just Kidding"!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the wonderful men in my family!  Michael, Kenny, Joe, Tim and Kevin....You all are such good fathers.  You each exemplify characteristics of our Heavenly Father, who is the perfect example.  I am so grateful for the way each of you magnify your callings and honor the priesthood.  Y'all are the best!!

Trek 2012

June 13 - 16 Michael went on trek with our stake and the Savannah stake.  He was the trail boss of one of the two handcart companies.  He had a wonderful time but came home exhausted!  I missed him and was very glad he was home!   

Tri Latta 2012

We had an awesome showing from Team Whetstone at Tri Latta in Huntersville, North Carolina this weekend, June 9.  Michael, Jessica, Mary Beth and Christi all participated!  They are awesome!  I wish I had more pictures of everyone in every event but I get so busy cheering that either I don't get the picture or it's out of focus because I'm jumping around!  Here is a sampling of the day...

Team Whetstone - These are some terrific, selfless individuals!!  Who do you know that gets up at 4:30 in the morning to go cheer for someone?  They do!!

 We spent the rest of the day at Carowinds with the team!

Happy Birthday Jackson

Jackson's birthday was Thursday, June 7.  He turned a big 6 years old!  He will be in first grade this coming school year!  What a handsome, sweet boy he is!  He tries so hard to make good choices and be a good missionary!  All while being a real live superhero! 

On his birthday, he had his very first swim meet.  He swims with Country Club of Lexington,  He works so hard at practice and it showed at the meet.  He was AWESOME!  We went to Miyabi's afterwards to celebrate those two momentous events!!

Maggie J

Michael and I went to Virginia June 1 - June 3 to visit Joe, Chelsea and Maggie.  It was great to stay with them for a few days and have nothing to do but spend time visiting!  I loved having them all to myself!  Selfish??  Maybe, but I just don't get to see them often so I loved every minute of it!

Happy Birthday Jessica

November 20th was Jessica's birthday.  Thank you for being such a sweet daughter in law and giving me four wonderful grandchildren!  She makes the most beautiful cakes in the world and has more talent than I have in my pinkie!  Not to mention, she's a triathlete!
