Gingerbread Houses

We have made it a Christmas tradition to have a Family Home Evening to make gingerbread houses.  It is so much fun to see the creativity of everyone.  We do have a couple of engineers in the family who get quite involved while designing their houses!  They are all so colorful and unique.  I love this activity!

Norah's Pedicure

I got to polish Norah Raye's tiny little toenails for the very first time!  So fun!

Anniversary

December 21 Michael and I had been married 37 years!  Wow!  I love this man more today than yesterday but not near as much as tomorrow!  He is the love of my life.  I look forward to the next 37!!

Kenny's Birthday

Kenny's birthday was February 1st.  I don't think I could ever say anything about Kenny that would do him justice.  He is a wonderful son, brother, father and friend.  He is always thoughtful and kind.  He magnifies his Priesthood and loves the Lord.  I love him so much!!

That's what you get when you turn your ankle while running at Kiawah!

Nice "man bag"!!  What good men will do for their wives!

Happy Birthday Kenny!  I love you tons!

Krispy Kreme Challenge

February 4 in Raleigh, North Carolina
This has got to be, hands down, the craziest race I've ever been to!  So you say, "Man, I could eat a dozen doughnuts, no problem"!  Yeah, right!!  Here's the challenge:  Run 2 1/2 miles to the Krispy Kreme store, eat a dozen doughnuts, turn in your empty box, then run 2 1/2 miles back to the start...all in under an hour!  Mary Beth ran pushing Maizeigh and Norah in the jogger but decided not to eat all the doughnuts.  That was a wise choice!  Christi and I walk/ran pushing Owen and Emma and only ate one doughnut a piece.  I think Owen and Emma ate five each!  However, Michael, Kevin and Hunter decided to actually take the challenge.  Boys!!
Christi and I saw Hunter at the Krispy Kreme trying his best to eat the whole dozen!  He said, "Grandma, I just don't think I can do it.  I think I'm going to throw up!"  Bless his heart, he thought he couldn't go back if he didn't eat them all.  I assured him it was fine so he took off running again!
Michael actually ate the dozen and made it back in under an hour.  Kevin ate all the doughnut but didn't quite make the time, close though!! Really crazy but Michael and Kevin didn't want any lunch afterwards!!  Hmm, wonder why?!

Happy Birthday Peyton

February 6th was Peyton's 11th birthday.  Peyton is a sweetie and oh, so talented.  His art work is unbelieveable!  I'm hoping that one day he will create something for me to frame and hang in my home.  (Hint, hint!)

I love you so much, Peanut! (aka - Dip Stick)

One year older and wiser too!

February 10th was Mary Beth's birthday.  I am so grateful that Heavenly Father saw fit to make me her mother!  She is one of the most loving and definitely the most supportive person I know.  There is absolutely nothing that someone in our family is participating in that she doesn't make every effort to be there for them.  That is true love!  You are a blessing, baby girl.

I love you more than you know, sunshine!

Happy Birthday Hunter

February 8th was Hunter's birthday.  And what a birthday it was!  He turned 12!  Oh, my goodness, I can not believe it!  He attended his first Young Mens meeting and the following Sunday, February 12 was ordained a Deacon in the Priesthood.  I can remember the day he was born like it was yesterday.  I love this young man so much.  He will always hold a special place in my heart!

I love you so much, Hunter-baby!

Monster Jam

Saturday February 11 all the boys went to the Monster Jam at the Colonial Life Arena.  Joe was even home and got to go!  The things boys do for fun!!

New Do

I took Emma to get a "big girl" haircut on her birthday.  She was so good!  She loved it!  Especially when Miss Hiedi let her squirt her with the water bottle!  Then we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Fun day!

Happy Birthday to you, Em!

March 23 was Emma's 2nd birthday!  She's such a big girl now!!  She's so cute, loud, funny, loud, lovable, loud.....Did I mention she's loud??  She gives the best squeezes!  Love, love, love her to pieces!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET CAKES!!

Lexington Race Against Hunger

February 25 was Lexington's Race Against Hunger.  Michael and Mary Beth ran the 10K.  Tim and Christi pushing their kids ran/walked the 5K.  Awesome thing of the day --- Mary Beth beat Jerry!!
.

Michael said we couldn't put this on Facebook but he didn't say anything about my blog!  Of all things, he forgot his watch.  He NEVER does that!  He even sleeps in it sometimes!  I had my "pink" running watch on and offered to loan it to him for the race.  He really felt kind of silly wearing it!

Sarah Beth's Cheer Competition

The girls and I had such fun going to Sarah Beth's cheer competition on March 3.  She looked absolutely beautiful and cheered like a pro!!

Mary Beth was right in her element!

Maizeigh was so excited to have Miss Patti put make up on her!

Happy Birthday Owen

My Sweet, handsome Owen turned 4 on March 11.  He is such a tender-hearted little fellow.  I sure do love him!

Happy, happy birthday my little stink-weed!!
