Walking With Dinosaurs

Wednesday, October 7, Michael took Kenny, Hunter, Peyon, Hagin, Kevin, Jackson, Pete and Conner (a good friend and his son) to Walking With Dinosaurs at the Colonial Center.

It looks scary to me but the boys didn't get scared at all!! Must be a guy thing!

An amazing General Conference

Michael and I decided back in March that the prize for the winner of our family "beach competition" would receive a trip to Salt Lake City for General Conference. I, of course, said that I needed to go as well! Kevin and Mary Beth were this year's winners. We told them that we did not expect them to stay with us at all times. This was their trip! Their flights were at different times and their hotel room was on a different floor than ours!! However, we did enjoy sightseeing, a temple session, a fabulous dinner and conference with them.

The Temple and Temple Square are just beautiful!

This was our view from our table at "The Roof" Restaurant on the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. If you look in the top right corner you can see our waiter's reflection in the glass! What a marvelous time it was to be in such a gorgeous place, eating fabulous food, listening to beautiful music, eating fabulous food, having a breath-taking view, eating fabulous food......you get the picture!!

This is an amazing statue. The spirit is so strong as you listen to the voice of the Lord and gaze at His face.

Here we are in the Conference Center. Conference was so powerful! I don't think it was just because we were actually sitting in the conference center either!
Thanks for putting up with us for four days!
This was truly an amazing visit. We have been to Salt Lake City before but have never had such a spiritual experience. My eyes hurt by Sunday night from crying every day. We were blessed by quite a few unique opportunities. Several people went above and beyond their "callings" to make sure that our experience was outstanding and one that we will NEVER forget.

Happy Birthday, Hagin and Olivia

I am so far behind on my posting but I will try to do a little catching up!
First of all, I need to go back to September.....
Hagin and Olivia celebrated their birthdays with a party at their Papa and Grandma's (AKA: Bonnie and Richard) house. We roasted hotdogs and ate cake and ice cream!
Olivia is certainly the "Belle" of the ball! Big Daddy and I gave her a Belle outfit, complete with shoes, earrings and tiara! I think she liked them. She told me she wanted to wear them every day but her momma won't let her! She is such a sweet thing! She loves to pose for a picture and her giggle makes me laugh everytime!

Oh, Hagy-Poo!! What can I say about Hagin??!! He makes a room spin just by entering it! He certainly can be a fire-ball but you can hardly get mad at him because he's so stinkin' cute!!

I love these two children so much! They make my world a better place!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAGIN AND OLIVIA!!

Patriots Half Ironman

Thursday afternoon, September 10, Michael, Christi, Owen and I headed off to Williamsburg, Virginia for Michael's half ironman. We arrived in time to eat supper at a great little Italian restaurant and go to bed! Kenny, Jessica and the kids left their house about 8pm and arrived in Williamsburg about 3am. Needless to say we were asleep! We all spent Friday touring Jamestown.

Christi and Owen with a very big bear skin! This was inside one of the Powhatan Indian huts.

Hunter and Hagin thought this old armor was cool

So did Peyton and Olivia!

Owen wasn't so sure about it

Where's Hagin???

The gang in a hand made canoe

Friday was also Hagin's birthday! We had him a little cake and ice cream in the hotel! (I will post a tribute a little later!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAGIN!!!

Joe and Chelsea came in late Friday night and got some cake before heading to bed.

Saturday at 5am it was off to the race site. It was a little chilly so the kids were wrapped in blankets. Big Daddy was in the process of putting on this wetsuit. He was very grateful that the water temp was 74!

Quite a run from the water to transition (Big Daddy is in the yellow)

Coming in on the bike

On the home stretch

Michael met his goal of under 6 hours with plenty of room to spare!!
Way to go, babe!

Olivia was playing "little momma" helping put clean socks on Big Daddy

The gang (minus me!) Chelsea's brother, Preston and his wife, Leslie, live about 20 minutes away so they came to cheer with the fam. Thanks y'all!

After the race, we went to Colonial Williamsburg for a little while. We ate at an authentic tavern which was a lot of fun. The food was great, too! (Michael really was happy, he just didn't know that I was taking the picture yet!)

Sunday we went to Williamsburg's stake conference and the stake president mentioned in his talk that he participated in the event on Saturday. Small world, isn't it?!
We spent the rest of the day visiting the original Jamestown settlement. Then got up Monday morning and make the long trek back home.
We missed having Mary Beth's little family with us (especially Mary Beth's LOUD cheering voice and Kevin's LOUD whistles!!)
We had a great time and we are so grateful to have such fantastic children who support us in all that we do! We love you all!!

Labor Day Fun

What a great Labor Day! Libbi and Pete invited us over to their fabulous new house for a cook out/pool party. It was absolutely wonderful to be with our friends and family. The food was fantastic and the company was even better! Thanks so much Sheridans!

Michael, Tye and Bryeson chowing down.

Libbi probably being bossy! Ha, ha! Not really. She was an awesome host!

The food was terrific!

The screened in porch is also great!

Good friends!

The Girlfriends!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAMELIA!

Can you tell that Owen really enjoyed the chocolate ice cream?

We left the Sheridan's and went to the lake to ride the Jetski for probably the last time this summer.

Hunter was having fun trying to catch baby fish. It was fun to watch them jump out of the bucket after he caught them!

Everybody having fun!

Maizeigh wanted to wear Big Daddy's swim cap

Oops! Olivia was falling out the raft! Not a good view! Hagin might have helped that along!

Maizeigh's first ride on the Jet ski

Thanks for coming up to the lake kids! We love spending time with y'all!

Hunter Skiing

Go, Hunter, Go!! Look at that boy! One handed! Waving to the crowd!! He got up on the second try. That was awesome!

Jackson Skiing

Woo Hoo!! Go Jackson!

(Can you hear the screaming in the background?) What a brave boy!
